Hardik Pandya had a sensational day with both bat & ball as he took the Men in Blue over the finish line in a tight contest. Hardik scored 33 runs in 17 balls and had taken 3 wickets. His contribution to the team was remarkable as he created a fear factor amongst the opponent. Men in Green weren’t expecting such a dominant performance from Hardik Pandya.
Sanjay Manjrekar once again made headlines, and this time not in a controversial manner. This time, the commentator was full of praiseworthy for the flamboyant all-rounder. Hardik Pandya would be quite happy as India not only took revenge for their hammering in ICC T20 World Cup 2021; but made a resounding statement that they mean business. He got ample support from his mate Ravindra Jadeja; where both disseminated the Pakistani bowlers.
Sanjay Manjrekar on Hardik Pandya
“Just this calmness. Everything about him is currently unreal. His bowling returns are unreal, which is something that you get with others as well, but his ability to keep calm and get runs under pressure,” Manjrekar said to the Sports18.
“That last over was a tricky one because Hardik was in there and played the faster bowlers mostly, so there was a rhythm of hitting against the quicker bowlers and suddenly the situation was such that Pakistan had to bring in the left-arm spinner,” he added.
“Jadeja got out to the first ball and then he had four balls to get those runs. The pressure is immense but the kind of shots also that he played to get those winning runs under pressure is just outstanding.”
“I am sure from inside there is a bit of nerves but he has this confidence currently, which he said as well, that he believes that the bowler will be under more pressure. So he is just in a zone where you think everything he is doing is just unreal, absolutely brilliant,” he concluded
Hardik Pandya making it count
The all-rounder looks like he has a point to prove to everyone. When he was struggling and was out of form, many experts had written him off. Even BCCI tried out Venkatesh Iyer who was quite destructive while closing the innings. It looked like everyone saw the end of Hardik Pandya.
Hardik Pandya had a fantastic Tata IPL 2022 which earned him a spot in South Africa, England & West Indies series. In all these 3 series, he was quite impressive and looked like a man on a mission. The all-rounder was rejuvenated from the break and never looked out of form.
