Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant admitted that he won’t be spared from criticism in future for just one bad innings.
Pant is one of the greatest finishers who can snatch the game from the opposition in any given format of the game. Pant scored his maiden ODI century against England in the third ODI in Manchester. His unbeaten 125 helped India not only to win by five wickets but also seal the series 2-1.
Rishabh Pant and criticism- An unseperable pair
Pant has scored five Test hundreds at the age of 24 in Australia, England, South Africa and India. He became the first Asian wicketkeeper-batter to score centuries in ODIs and Tests.

Pant has often faced the flak of experts and fans the moment he gets out trying to play an aggressive shot.
There will be harsh criticism even if I get hundred in one innings: Rishabh Pant
The 24-year-old said that his approach is a high-risk game that won’t reward on every single instance, and consequently, failure is imminent.
“I have got used to the fact that there will be harsh criticism even if I get a hundred in one innings and get out cheaply in the next one,” Pant told Times of India.
“I understand when I get out, it might look ugly. It doesn’t mean it never pinches me. But I have learnt to embrace the fact that I play a high-risk-high-reward game.

“I learn from my dismissals. But I also give myself more space now. There’s a reason I could taste some success at this level. You will not succeed every day. But you need to work towards making sure your game is working 70-80 per cent of the time,” he added.
Pant is part of India’s Asia Cup 2022 squad and will contend with veteran player Dinesh Karthik for a place in the team. India plays bitter rivals Pakistan in their first game of the continental tournament on Sunday in Dubai.
