Asia Cup 2022: Rohit Sharma Looked Scared And Confused: Mohammed Hafeez Gives An Unusual Take On India's Skipper

Mohammed Hafeez has given an unusual take on Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, claiming that the Indian opener had very poor body language and appeared scared and confused when he stepped out for the toss.
On Wednesday, Sharma led India to victory over the associate team, securing their spot in the Super Fours round. The win, incidentally, was the 35-year-old’s 31st as skipper in T20Is and he became the second most successful captain for India in the format behind MS Dhoni.
However, Hafeez is not impressed by Sharma’s body language. In a video posted on his official Twitter account, the former Pakistan captain stated that the 35-year-old had very poor body language and appeared afraid and bewildered. He also thought that the captaincy was putting too much pressure on Sharma, which was causing him trouble.

“Take a look at his expression. This was after India had won by 40 runs. I am referring to Rohit Sharma’s body language when he came out for the toss. I thought it was pretty poor body language. He appeared afraid and befuddled. Due to what I have seen so far, captaincy is putting a lot of pressure on Rohit Sharma. He is dealing with a slew of issues.”
Rohit Sharma won’t continue as captain for long: Mohammed Hafeez
Hafeez further stated that Sharma’s body language does not reflect India’s supposedly fresh attitude and that he will not remain captain for long.
“He will not be captain for much longer. His appearance and everything that appears to be going on with him… I was also a captain, so I understand how stressful it is to lead a team. I have seen Rohit on numerous occasions; he enjoys himself, but he is no longer expressing himself. He has a lot on his mind, he is under pressure, and I feel sorry for him “Hafeez stated.
India has so far maintained a 100 per cent win record at the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. The Men in Blue began their campaign with a convincing five-wicket victory against their bitter rivals Pakistan, and they continued that momentum into their second match against the underdog Hong Kong, which they won by 40 runs.
