Veteran Pakistan National Cricket Team all-rounder Shoaib Malik posted a cryptic message on his official Twitter handle after the defeat of the Men In Green in the Asia Cup 2022 final.
Pakistan National Cricket Team lost the Asia Cup 2022 final by 23 runs against Sri Lanka National Cricket Team on Sunday, September 11, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Dasun Shanaka-led side were invited to bat first in the Asia Cup final by the Men In Green. The Pakistan pacers performed exceptionally well and reduced Sri Lanka to 58/5.

However, Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Wanindu Hasaranga came in as saviours and provided the stability to the innings of the Lankan Lions. In the end, Sri Lanka were able to post 170/6 on the board with the help of brilliant batting performances by Bhanuka Rajapaksa (71), Wanindu Hasaranga (36) and Dhananjaya de Silva (28).
Chasing the 171-run target, Pakistan lost wickets of Babar Azam (5) and Fakhar Zaman (0) inside the first six overs. The No.1 ranked T20I batter Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed batted cautiously and had a 71-run partnership in 59 balls, which had no major impact on the Pakistan innings. In the end, Pakistan lost wickets at regular intervals and they were bowled out for 147.

I respect your contributions to Pak cricket over the years but dear @realshoaibmalik please don't try & muddy the waters. What we currently have is a damn good Pakistan team and one that is relatively free of the kind of dirty politics that plagued earlier teams. So pls let it be
