Former Indian captain Virat Kohli was all appreciation for middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav, who in Asia Cup 2022 performed an outstanding performance against Hong Kong, assisting India to a respectable total of 192 runs with his 26-ball 68*.
India qualified for the Super 4s in Asia Cup 2022 after defeating Hong Kong by 40 runs on Wednesday, August 31.

Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav played a brilliant knock, scoring 68 runs off just 26 balls against Hong Kong in the Asia Cup 2022, as the Indian top order struggled to get quick runs on a difficult pitch.

The Men in Blue scored 192 runs overall thanks to a 98-run partnership between Virat Kohli and SKY for the third wicket. Yadav’s innings, which occurred on a surface where scoring runs was not simple, received high accolades from Kohli following the game.
It’s my honor to interview SKY today: Virat Kohli
Kohli, who watched the innings from the non-striker’s end, said he was astounded by SKY’s performance.
“It’s my honor to interview SKY today who played an outstanding knock which I enjoyed thoroughly from the other end. I have seen so many from a distance when he has played IPL against us or that been done to a lot of teams when you play for India.”

But this was my first experience of watching it very closely. I was completely blown away,” Kohli told Yadav in an interview on BCCI.tv.
After India’s innings, Kohli was also seen bowling down to Yadav in a video that quickly gained popularity on social media. Team India defeated Afghanistan by 40 runs to win the match and advance to the Super 4 as the second team.
