AB de Villiers, a legendary South African cricketer, praised Team India for their five-wicket victory against Pakistan in their Asia Cup 2022 campaign opening on Monday.
On August 28, 2022, in the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates, India defeated Pakistan by five wickets thanks in large part to a standout performance from Hardik Pandya with both the bat and the ball.
India’s attempt to win the game and exact some sort of retribution for losing the T20 World Cup 2021 got off to a horrible start when Naseem Shah, a rookie bowler, dismissed KL Rahul. Before Mohammad Nawaz dismissed both of them, Virat Kohli (35) and Rohit Sharma (12) performed admirably for a while.
It all came down to Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja to lead India to the victory in the final over after Suryakumar Yadav was also bowled out for 18 runs. With five wickets in hand, India won with 52 runs from Ravindra Jadeja (35) and Hardik Pandya (33* in 17 balls).

India came close to winning the match thanks to a 52-run partnership between Jadeja (35) and Hardik Pandya (33*). With two balls remaining, the in-form Pandya hit a six to give India a five-wicket victory.
Pakistan’s bowlers Nawaz (3/33) and Naseem Shah (2/27) performed admirably but were not good enough to secure a victory.
Pandya’s all-around performance earned him the honor of “Man of the Match.”
