Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has backed the out-of-form Virat Kohli, saying that one has to be on top of his game to match the Indian.
Kohli, the former India captain, has been in a slump and has not scored an international century since his 70th in November 2019.

After taking a month off, Virat Kohli will play in the highly awaited encounter between India and Pakistan on Sunday in the Asia Cup T20 competition. Having scored an international century in November 2019, Kohli, who took a break during the most recent white-ball tour of the West Indies and Zimbabwe, has experienced a prolonged dry spell.

His recent batting slump has prompted concerns over his position in the current Indian lineup. On English soil, the erratic batsman could only manage 76 runs from six innings across formats, which included the fifth Test, which was rescheduled, two ODIs, and as many T20Is.
Virat is still one of the best batters in world cricket: Babar Azam
Pakistan captain Babar Azam has shown his support for the out-of-form Kohli, claiming that one must be at the top of his game to compete with the Indian.

“Nothing in life is simple. There are difficulties everywhere. It is entirely up to you how you accomplish things in life and overcome obstacles. Virat is still one of the top batters in the world “Babar Azam made the remarks on the day of India’s pivotal Asia Cup match against Pakistan.
Virat Kohli will play competitive cricket again for the first time since taking a break at the Asia Cup. He will play in his 100th T20I if he participates in the opening game against Pakistan. Following the 2022 tour of England in July, Kohli eventually took a break because, as he acknowledged, he was “mentally down.”
