India starts their campaign in the Asia Cup on Sunday against arch-rivals Pakistan. India is in Group A of the Asia Cup, which also includes Hong Kong, which qualified for the continental tournament on Wednesday by defeating the United Arab Emirates in their final qualifying round match.
The tournament kicks off on August 27 with a match between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team it seems has decided on its playing XI for the game.

Dinesh Karthik is also part of the collection which means he is expected to retain his position in the XI. The bowlers include Avesh Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal. This would mean India might go in with 4 specialist bowlers plus Hardik Pandya.
After arriving in the United Arab Emirates for the Asia Cup 2022, Team India held its first training session on Wednesday. All eyes will be on Kohli. India’s star batter broke a sweat in the nets, taking on the bowlers in a gruelling session. Kohli returns to the Indian team after missing the previous two limited-overs tours to the West Indies and Zimbabwe. The 33-year-old has been struggling with the bat; in his six international batting appearances since the IPL, Kohli has failed to score more than 20 runs.
