IND vs PAK: "Bit Of Relief For Other Teams": Harbhajan Singh On Jasprit Bumrah's Absence In Asia Cup

Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh has stated that India will miss Jasprit Bumrah and that his absence from the lineup will provide relief to other teams.

On Saturday, the Asia Cup 2022 began, and in the opening Group B match, Afghanistan defeated Sri Lanka to win. However, all eyes will be on the Group A match between Pakistan and India on Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium.

On Sunday, August 28, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the India National Cricket Team, captained by Rohit Sharma, will play against the Pakistan National Cricket Team, led by Babar Azam.

During the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup last year, India and Pakistan faced off against each other at the same location. Both Pakistan and India are without their top bowlers, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Jasprit Bumrah. As per the former India spinner Harbhajan Singh, Bumrah’s absence from the starting lineup will provide other teams with a respite while India will miss him.

“Jasprit Bumrah is a bowler of exceptional calibre. His performances over the last two years show that he has had a significant influence. He also took on the role of captain this year. His being absent gives the other teams a break. He is a bowler who can alter the course of a match “said Harbhajan Singh in a video uploaded on Sports Tak.

Almost a year has passed since Pakistan defeated India by 10 wickets in the T20 World Cup 2021 group stage encounter in Dubai, setting up the eagerly anticipated match between the two nations.
