The Indian T20 team, led by Rohit Sharma, has not backed away from experimenting with different combinations, and the captain made it clear on Saturday that the quest for “new answers” will continue, even if there are hurdles along the way.

India and Pakistan will face off in the second match of the Asia Cup 2022. The highly anticipated match will take place at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday (August 28).

With only about seven weeks till the T20 World Cup in Australia, Rohit Sharma is eager to keep experimenting since you never know what works unless you try it.

“We have chosen to test a few things, and some will succeed, while others will not.” But there is no harm in trying, because only by trying will you know for certain what works and what doesn’t. You will get answers,” Rohit told reporters ahead of the team’s pivotal Asia Cup match against archrivals Pakistan.

Although there will be a predetermined lineup for the T20 World Cup, the skipper claimed that the experiments had been quite successful.

“In the past 8 to 10 months, we received several responses. We will determine what has to be done after the World T20 tournament begins,” he stated. Virat is not acting differently. There was a clear allusion to how out of shape Virat Kohli is looking, and the captain, as per usual, supported his No. 1 hitter.”

“From my perspective, I thought he was in perfect touch. After taking a month off, he has back, and Rohit did not notice anything noticeably different about him” Rohit Sharma said.

Almost a year has passed since Pakistan defeated India by 10 wickets in the T20 World Cup 2021 group stage encounter in Dubai, setting up the eagerly anticipated match between the two nations.
