IND vs PAK: I'm Backing Experience To Do Well Against Pakistan - Saba Karim On India's Top-Order
Former Indian cricketer Saba Karim said that the top-order of India will come good in the upcoming Asia Cup match against arch-rivals, Pakistan, on August 28.
Karim reckoned India should stick with the same combo of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul at the top followed by Virat Kohli. While the latter is out of form, he backs himself against Pakistan and will be keen to perform.
“My top order is captain Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. And I’m backing experience to do well against a big team like Pakistan and also in an important tournament like Asia Cup.”
“I can understand that Kohli has struggled with form,” Saba Karim said while speaking exclusively on SPORTS18’s daily sports news show ‘SPORTS OVER THE TOP’.
“I’m sure they’ll get back to form at the right time” – Saba Karim
Rahul is coming into the tournament on the back of a poor ODI series against Zimbabwe. However, he was out of action prior to that and will be keen to get back to form.
“Rahul, would love to see him get more runs but I still feel that both Kohli and Rahul, if they undergo 2-3 good practice sessions, I’m sure they’ll get back to form at the right time for India,” Karim added.
