Former Pakistan National Cricket Team express pacer Shoaib Akhtar, while reacting to Pakistan’s Asia Cup 2022 win over India in the Super 4 stage, said that he had warned Indians not to celebrate the group stage victory over the Men In Green too much.
Babar Azam-led Pakistan National Cricket Team defeated Rohit Sharma-led India National Cricket Team by 5 wickets in a nail-biting thriller in the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup 2022 on Sunday, September 4, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
In a video shared on his YouTube channel after the match, Shoaib Akhtar celebrated Pakistan’s victory and asserted that he was confident that Team Pakistan were going to make a strong comeback and defeat Team India in the Super 4s match.
“Maine Indians ko bhi kaha, bahut sare doosto ko bhi kaha tha ki itna khush hone ki zaruurat nahi hai, Pakistan will make a strong comeback, meine video mein bhi bola tha Pakistan ruthlessly marage Hindustan ko. (I told the Indians and my friends that do not get too happy as Pakistan will make a strong comeback and I had said in an earlier video that Pakistan will ruthlessly trounce India),” said Akhtar on his Youtube channel.
In the group stage game between India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the Men In Blue defeated the Men In Green by 5 wickets.
India should decide what should be their final XI – Shoaib Akhtar
Former Pakistan pace bowler further said that the Indian team management looks confused and they are unable to find the best playing XI of Team India.
“India should decide what should be their final XI. Who is your future? Is it Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik, Deepak Hooda, or Ravi Bishnoi. Find your final XI at least first, because this is a confused selection from India and I don’t know why there is so much confusion,” Akhtar concluded.
