Sri Lanka Cricket Team astounded everyone and won the Asia Cup 2022 in a grand style. The Island Nation would be ecstatic and it won’t be wrong to say that Sri Lankan Cricket is getting great again.
The peculiarity of the Sri Lanka Cricket Team was that they never gave up and showed a lot of courage and a fearless attitude. Khaled Mahmud BCB Director & Dasun Shanaka were involved in an unexpected word of battles where Khaled had said Sri Lanka doesn’t have any world-class spinner
Sri Lanka Cricket’s turning point was that nail-biting encounter against Bangladesh Cricket Team. That match was quite nervy yet Sri Lanka came out victorious against all odds. Sri Lanka showed the world Cricket that they can be unbeatable on any given day as they have developed a habit of finding match-winners which is invaluable in T20I Cricket.
Maheesh Theekshana Takes a Jibe on Khaled Mahmud
Sri Lanka’s off-spinner Maheesh Theekshana posted a message on his Twitter account. “Now we are world-class brothers” Said Theekshana. It would be interesting to see how long the two nations would be involved in a verbal spat. Khaled Mahmud somewhat spurred the Sri Lankan Cricket Team.

Sri Lanka Cricket Team on Roll
Sri Lanka won’t be able to believe that they defeated champion teams. Head Coach Chris Silverwood & Captain Dasun Shanaka would be over the moon and it won’t be wrong to say that they have a team that can compete in any conditions. They have to find a way of not falling like a pack of cards as this habit is ruining their campaign.
We should not forget that the likes of Dinesh Chandimal & Angelo Mathews weren’t a part of the setup. The two senior batters were blatantly ignored and the youngsters stepped up. The revival’s credit must go to Dasun Shanaka as he has taken the responsibility for the team in the worst phase. Although, they need to pull their socks for T20 World Cup Qualifiers where they can’t afford to get complacent.
