Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah congratulated Virat Kohli on completing 15 years in international cricket. He wished batter more and more success and milestones ahead. 

Virat Kohli on Friday (18th August) completed his 15 years in international cricket. He made his debut against Sri Lanka on 18th August 2008 and since then he didn’t look back. The kind of stature he possesses today is something that any other player could only dream of. 

Despite being of the younger generation, Virat Kohli’s on-field record has seen him getting compared with greats of the game like Sir Vivian Richards, Sachin Tendulkar and others, which speaks volumes about what sort of player he is. The right-hander is currently the leading batter in all three formats of the game and is breaking numerous records along the way. 

Jay Shah lauded Virat Kohli for his unwavering commitment to the team and said that his passion, perseverance, and remarkable achievements have inspired millions.

Virat Kohli has tasted a huge amount of success in his career and is still breaking numerous records along the way. He has set similar kinds of standards in all three formats, averaging around 50. The Delhi batter is on the verge of breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 ODI tons as he’s currently on 46. 

Virat Kohli has played over 270 games in ODIs and has featured in 109 Tests and 115 T20Is so far. He has the second most number of centuries in world cricket and has scored 12898 runs in ODIs along with 8676 Test runs and 4008 T20I runs, which is the highest by any batter

Virat Kohli is currently enjoying his time off after the West Indies tour and has been hitting the gym hard. He will be seen in action during the Asia Cup 2023 now. He will be extremely crucial for the team in the tournament.
