The Border-Gavaskar series has seen almost three generations of Indian and Australian cricketers coming through the ranks and playing the series in the best of the spirit. From the likes of Sachin Tendulkar to Rahul Dravid to Ricky Ponting and Steve Waugh the baton of scoring runs has now passed onto the likes of Virat Kohli and Steve Smith.
