The 30-year-old Australia National Cricket Team leg-spinner Adam Zampa cleaned up the former India National Cricket Team captain Virat Kohli in the second match of the three-match T20I series at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Jamtha, Nagpur on Friday, September 23.
Virat Kohli, who was heading into the Australia T20I series with great form in his bag after a terrific run in the Asia Cup 2022, was able to score only 2 runs in the first T20I at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh on Tuesday, September 20.
In the second T20I, the batter once again failed as he was able to score just 11 runs off 6 balls, including 2 boundaries, before being dismissed by Zampa in the 5th over of the innings.
On the second ball of the over, the Australian leg-spinner bowled a quicker delivery and Kohli went down the track to play the flick shot. However, the ball skidded on through the gate and crashed into the top of the leg stump. Notably, the former India captain played the shot for some turn, but the ball went straight. This was the 8th time Zampa picked up the wicket of Kohli in white-ball cricket and the 3rd time in T20I cricket.
Australia, India Make Two Changes Each To The Playing XI For Second T20I
The second T20I match of the series was heavily delayed due to a wet outfield. India National Cricket Team won the toss and opted to bowl first. The Men In Blue made two changes to the playing XI as Jasprit Bumrah replaced Umesh Yadav and Rishabh Pant replaced Bhuvneshwar Kumar. On the other hand, Australia also made two changes as Daniel Sams replaced injured Nathan Ellis and Sean Abbott replaced Josh Inglis.
Batting first, Australia posted 90 for 5 on the board with the help of sensational batting performances by Matthew Wade and Aaron Finch
