The 34-year-old India National Cricket Team batter Cheteshwar Pujara has named the Australia National Cricket Team pace spearhead Pat Cummins as the toughest bowler he has ever faced in the international cricket arena.
Cheteshwar Pujara, who has been a mainstay in the Indian Test team for more than a decade, recently completed 12,000 runs in first-class cricket.
The veteran batter has got a great record against Australia National Cricket Team in the purest format of the game as he has registered 1893 runs at an incredible average of 54.08 in 20 matches. Also, he has scored five centuries and 10 fifties against the Aussies.
Meanwhile, Pujara lauded the Australian Test and ODI captain, Pat Cummins, but added that he is the toughest bowler to face, especially in Australian conditions.
“I would go with Pat Cummins. In Australia,” Pujara said in an interview with ESPN Cricinfo.
Cheteshwar Pujara was also asked to name a bowler from the past whom he would like to face, and he picked Australian pace-bowling great Glenn McGrath.

Pujara, meanwhile, picked West Indies batting great Brian Lara as the batsman whom he would like to partner with in a dream scenario.
“I have never played any cricket with him (Lara). I was part of IPL, but I was not able to play with him,” he said.
The 34-year-old further picked his 92-run innings against Australia in Bengaluru in 2017 as the most memorable innings of his career in Test cricket.
