Irfan Pathan, a former player for India, has expressed optimism that Virat Kohli will play more aggressively against spin in the forthcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy.
When the host team plays the World Test Championship’s reigning champions, the former India captain will be crucial. Due to his recent excellent play, Kohli will likely take Shreyas Iyer’s place in the Indian lineup and be a key hitter.

Irfan Pathan, a former fast bowler for India, suggested to Star Sports that since Kohli hasn’t been performing as well as he would have liked lately, he should try to bat a little more aggressively against spin.
“One thing he’ll be thinking about is how he’ll counter Lyon’s and Agar’s spin. Because he has been struggling against spin in particular, I believe one thing he can do individually is to try and be a little more aggressive because I believe the strike rate against spin has also decreased,” Irfan Pathan remarked on a Star Sports show.

“He must be slightly more aggressive against spin”: Irfan Pathan
Irfan Pathan, a former cricketer, believes that Virat Kohli needs to play more aggressively against spin in the forthcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Ashton Agar and Nathan Lyon, two seasoned finger spinners for Australia, are among the four spinners that have been added to the team. With the exception of those two, Australia has also decided to bring wrist spinner Mitchell Swepson along for the tour.
“I know we are talking about Test cricket here, but sometimes he must be slightly more aggressive against spin, it might make you better in that encounter when you’re actually facing guys like Nathan Lyon who is outstanding with his spin, extra bounce and he gets that ball moving away from the right-hander as well. So, I think that’s something he should remember,” Irfan Pathan remarked on Star Sports.
A four-game Test series between Australia and India will be played. They are prepared to take on Australia in the World Test Championship final.
