Indian Cricket Team is all set to play a high-voltage Test Series against Australia. Aussies are set to tour India after 2017. This Test Series promises to be an enthralling one as both teams are evenly matched. Ishan Kishan is expected to feature in the playing 11 as he is supposed to be the like-for-like for Rishabh Pant.
This Test Series is quite vital for India as they have to win the Test Series by 3-1 or 3-0 to stake a claim in the World Test Championship (WTC 2021-23) final. Aussies are on the brink of getting qualified for the WTC final where they have been quite ruthless.
Ishan Kishan on Test Cricket
Ishan Kishan was having an interaction with Shubman Gill on a video posted by BCCI. “The position where I bat, which is at No.6, I can’t really just go out there and slog straightaway because I will let my team down if I lose my wicket. So for me, it will be important to read the situation and bring my team to a better position. If the ball is there to be hit and if the field is up, then I will definitely try to play my natural game.” said Ishan Kishan.

“I love playing red-ball cricket because the ball is always doing a bit, there’s sledging going on, there’s a lot of time in the game and there are different situations that you encounter as a batter. Sometimes it’s easy to score runs while sometimes it’s difficult. I love playing in those situations in the Ranji Trophy.” he added.
Fascinating Contest on Cards
Australia hasn’t won Test Series in India since 2004 and they would be keen to end the drought of 19 years. All eyes would be on the duo of Steven Smith & David Warner, as they will have to guide the batting lineup as most likely the pitches would be rank turners.
The Men in Blue would be hoping that Virat Kohli continues his good run. The right-handed batter doesn’t have a promising record against Australia in India. It would be interesting to see how Indian batters fare against Nathan Lyon as the shrewd off-spinner has got some great numbers behind him.
