Indian Cricket Team is all set to play a high-voltage Test Series against Australia in February. The Aussies are going to play Test Series in India after 2017 where they lost Test Series after being 1-0 up. Surprisingly Australia hasn’t won Test series in India since 2004.
The Men in Blue have to make sure that they do not win but win by a margin of 3-0 or 3-1 to stake a claim in the World test Championship (WTC 2021-23) final race. With Rishabh Pant ruled out of the Test Series due to an accident, the management needs to find an ideal replacement.

Matt Renshaw on the India tour
Matt Renshaw who got a call-up to South Africa’s 3rd Test Match was asked about whether he wants to play India Tests. “I think just the Sydney Test for me, it’s a nice inclusion being included in the last Test of the summer before a couple of away tours. As I know in cricket, I’ve learnt a lot that you can never count your chickens. So just keep trying to do what I can when I get into the group… and make a good impression and help as much as I can if I’m not playing.” said Matt Renshaw.
“Yeah, definitely. I had a couple of technical changes post that break (of five years), just trying to work on a few of things that I felt were struggling during the season, but I found it tough to change my technique during the season, he said. So I waited until the off-season, changed a couple of things and just tried to embed that down.” he added.
Steep Road Ahead for Australia
Australia may have had successful Pakistan & Sri Lanka tours but India would be a completely different ball game. A lot will depend on how Steven Smith & David Warner fare as they will have to guide the team in tricky scenarios. This would be their 3rd Test Series in India.
Australia will have to play a second spinner as alone Nathan Lyon won’t do the damage all the time. There are chances that India may play with 3 spinners to fox the Aussies. It would be interesting to see how the series pans out as last time there was a riveting contest between bat & ball in 2017.
