The all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja‘s fitness levels are being constantly watched by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as he recovers from a knee injury. At the conclusion of his match for Saurashtra versus Tamil Nadu in the Ranji Trophy in Chennai, Jadeja will return for evaluation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

In the Group A match of the Asia Cup T20 event in the United Arab Emirates last year, Jadeja last represented India against Hong Kong. Due to a knee injury, he was declared out of the competition before the Super 4 round began, and he hasn’t played since.

BCCI To Determine Ravindra Jadeja’s Fitness On February 1

The BCCI will determine if Jadeja is prepared for the start of the Border-Gavaskar series on February 1 based on the NCA’s findings. His availability will then be decided by the selectors and team management before India begins a pre-series camp in Nagpur on February 2.

India and Australia will face off in a four-Test series in the highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar series. For India’s first two Test matches against Australia, which will take place in Nagpur (February 9–13) and Delhi (February 17–21), the 34-year-old great all-rounder has been chosen for the team.
