PAK vs AUS: CA And PCB Denounce Death Threats Against Ashton Agar

Cricket Australia (CA) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have come together to dismiss the rumours of a death threat against Australian bowling all-rounder, Ashton Agar.
Australia has embarked on its first tour of Pakistan in over 24 years. The team arrived in Pakistan a couple of days ago after security clearances were given and the players were assured of safety.
However, a report in the Sydney Morning Herald indicated that a death threat had been made to Agar’s partner on a social media account. Addressing the same, an official statement was made by the authorities.

“Cricket Australia is aware of a social media post, of which the nature and content have been investigated by the PCB, CA, and combined government security agencies. There are extensive security plans in place for this type of social media activity, which, in this case, is not considered a risk. No further comment will be made at this time,” the statement read.
Pat Cummins reveals how things have unfolded after landing in Pakistan
Australian Test captain Pat Cummins spoke about the atmosphere and the reception after landing in Pakistan in a conversation with ESPNcricinfo. He stated that the PCB has been looking after the players well and they feel very secure at the moment.
“I feel incredibly safe and we’ve been really well looked after by the Pakistan Cricket Board. There’s been lots of security upon arrival. We were straight off the plane and straight to the hotel.”

“We’ve got a pretty good set-up and we’ll be confined to the hotel except for games and training… It’s comforting and we’re really lucky to be surrounded by so many professionals,” Cummins added.
The first Test begins on March 4 in Rawalpindi.
