Pat Cummins is hopeful that Australia’s bowlers can heal in time for the big Test against Pakistan in Lahore, despite the disappointment of missing to force victory from a good position in Karachi.

With the series tied at 0-0 thanks to Pakistan’s outstanding rearguard led by Babar Azam, the series’ deciding encounter will begin on March 21, providing the squad an extra day of rest.

In the second innings, Australia bowled 172 overs, with bowlers Nathan Lyon and Mitchell Swepson bowling 108 of them, but Cummins was unconcerned in the immediate wake of their heroic efforts.

He remarked, “Had a walk around and everyone is well; there are no major injury problems.” “We were aware that it would be a 15-day tour, essentially back-to-back, which is why we took precautions on the last day of the previous Test.”

“We understand how much we’ve agreed upon, so we’ll schedule everything for the following week. We have four days to heal, which is one more than we had before the Test.”

Pat Cummins says we have a lot of bowling options:

Australia has a lot of bowling reserves in their roster, with Josh Hazlewood, who played the first match in Rawalpindi, and Scott Boland, who has a Test average of 9.55, competing for a spot if a change is needed.

“If we need to call on anyone,” Cummins added, “we’ve got a complete contingent.” “The quick bowlers, Starcy, myself, and Greeny, all bowled between 20 and 35 overs, so it wasn’t a very heavy workload. It’s most likely the spinners; make sure they’re taken care of.”

With the soon-to-be-renamed Gaddafi Stadium hosting its first Test since 2009, there will be an element of uncertainty regarding the pitch in Lahore. Pace bowlers averaged 49.16 and spinners 56.00 in five first-class matches played at the venue last year.

With the series locked at 0-0, fans can expect a thrilling conclusion when Pakistan and Australia meet in the final Test in Lahore on March 21.
