SL vs AUS: Major Blow To Australia As Kane Richardson Gets Ruled Out Of Sri Lanka ODIs

Australia National Cricket Team have suffered a major blow as the star pacer Kane Richardson has been injured and ruled out of the entire five-match One Day International (ODI) series against the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team, commencing on June 14.
The five-match ODI series between Sri Lanka and Australia is part of the Australia tour of Sri Lanka 2022 and the tour also consists of a three-match T20I series and a two-match Test series. Also, Australia have already won the T20I series by 2-1.

Meanwhile, things are not looking good for Australia as they have faced several injury issues on the Sri Lanka tour.
Star pacer Mitchell Starc had suffered an unusual injury during the first T20I against Sri Lanka as he sliced his index finger on a spike from his bowling shoe and he required six stitches. Also, all-rounder, Mitchell Marsh is nursing a calf strain.
However, Australia captain Aaron Finch has told reporters that both the players are expected to be available for the third match of the ODI series on Sunday.

Experienced pacer Kane Richardson, who was added to the Australian ODI squad for the Sri Lanka series along with Jhye Richardson as a cover for Mitchell Starc, suffered a “fairly severe hamstring injury” during Saturday’s T20I game against Sri Lanka a Cricket Australia spokesperson said on Monday.
Meanwhile, pacer Kane Richardson is all set to fly back home after getting ruled out of the ODIs as he has not been included in the Test team and pacer Scott Boland, who performed exceptionally for Australia in the Ashes 2021-22, has been named as his replacement in the team.
