Kagiso Rabada, a South African paceman, was rewarded for his match-winning efforts against England at Lord’s as he increased sharply in the most recent MRF Tyres ICC Men’s Player Rankings.

The imposing right-armer added his name to Lord’s Honours Board for the first time during the Proteas’ convincing triumph over England at the storied North London ground, as he devastatingly collected seven wickets. Rabada was at the top of his game.

In addition to assisting South Africa in maintaining their lead in the World Test Championship standings, the 27-year-efforts old’s caused him to move up two spots to third place overall on the most recent Test bowler rankings.

Due to their outstanding performance at the Home of Cricket, several South African players were among the top winners when the ICC issued their most recent player rankings on Wednesday.

With six wickets in the game, fellow speedster Anrich Nortje terrorized the England batsmen, moving up 14 spots to place 25th overall in the most recent bowling rankings.

Kagiso Rabada is only six rating points short of Indian off-spinner Ravi Ashwin:

Ben Stokes, the English captain, and the seasoned player Stuart Broad were both taken out in the second innings by Rabada. Rabada has amassed 250 wickets from 53 Tests, including four 10-wicket hauls, 11 four-wicket hauls, and 12 five-wicket hauls.

The No. 2 Test bowler in the ICC rankings, Indian off-spinner Ravi Ashwin, is only six rating points ahead of Rabada. Pat Cummins, an Australian fast bowler, is rated first overall with 891 rating points.

Due to an injury, Rabada was not sure he would play in the first Test, but the seamer came out firing at the Home of Cricket in London.
