Two Indian players have been included in the Women’s ODI Team Of The Year 2021 announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

South Africa batter Lizelle Lee, who was the highest run-getter in Women’s ODI in 2021, and Australia’s wicketkeeper-batter Alyssa Healy were the openers in the Women’s ODI team of the year 2021. Lizelle Lee scored 632 runs in 2021 at an exceptional average of 90.28 including one century and five half-centuries and Alyssa Healy scored 267 runs in 6 games at an average of 44.50.

The No.3 player in the team was England’s Tammy Beaumont, who amassed 503 runs in 2021 at an average of 62.87 including one century and four fifties. India’s veteran cricketer Mithali Raj, who smashed 503 runs in 2021 at an average of 62.87 including 6 fifties, was the No.4 in the team.

England’s Heather Knight Named Captain As ICC Announces Women’s ODI Team Of The Year 2021

Heather Knight was appointed as the captain of the ODI team of the year. In the year 2021, she scored 423 runs at an amazing average of 42.30, including one century and three fifties, with the ball she bagged 5 wickets at an average of 19.80.

South Africa’s Marizanne Kapp and West Indies’ Hayley Matthews were the next two all-rounders in the team. The South African all-rounder scored 183 runs in 2021 at an average of 61 and strike rate of 98.91 and with the ball, the 32-year-old picked up 11 wickets at an average of 29.18. Meanwhile, Hayley Matthews amassed 380 runs in the year including a century and a half-century. She bagged 18 wickets at an outstanding average of 22.44.

Also, Pakistan all-rounder Fatima Sana was included in the team of the year, she bagged 20 wickets in 13 games in 2021 and scored 132 runs as well.

Veteran Indian pacer Jhulan Goswami made it to the list with her amazing performance in 2021. She picked up 15 wickets in 2021 at an economy rate of 3.77.

The last two players in the Women’s ODI team of the year 2021 were South Africa’s Shabnim Ismail, who bagged 18 wickets in the year in 12 matches and West Indies spinner Anisa Mohammed, who bagged 20 wickets at an outstanding average of 18.00.
