Made A Terrible Mistake At The Same Time – AB de Villiers
In a recent interview, AB de Villiers admitted to spreading false information about Virat Kohli‘s personal life, clarifying that Kohli is not expecting a child. De Villiers said that everyone should respect his privacy during this time and hope for his swift return to cricket.
“Family comes first, as I said earlier on my YouTube channel. I also made a terrible mistake at the same time sharing false information, which was not true at all. So I just think, whatever is best for Virat, and his family comes first. No one knows what is happening there. All I can do is wish him well,” de Villiers said.
“The whole world that follows Virat and enjoys his cricket, must just wish him well. Whatever the reason is for this break, hopefully, he comes back stronger and better,” he added.
De Villiers shared the dressing room with Virat Kohli for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The duo have developed a strong friendship during their stint and shared numerous moments on the field for the franchise.

Virat Kohli’s Second Child Is On The Way – AB de Villiers
Earlier, AB de Villiers sparked social media buzz by claiming Virat Kohli’s second child was on the way. De Villiers highlighted the significance of family and personal priorities.
“Yes, so his second child is on the way, it’s family time, it’s a priority of his family and things are important to you. If you are not genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for and why you are on earth. I think most people’s purpose is family, you cannot judge Virat for that. You miss him but he has made the right decision,” De Villiers added.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma became parents for the first time in January 2021, welcoming their daughter Vamika. The celebrity couple has chosen to keep their daughter away from the public eye, maintaining a low profile despite their high-profile status in the media.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not disclosed why Kohli is absent from the red-ball series at home. Kohli’s last appearance for the Indian team was in the third T20I against Afghanistan in Bengaluru, where he was dismissed for a golden duck.
