Abhishek Sharma playing just his second T20I, scored his maiden T20I hundred in a match-winning cause for India against Zimbabwe. His 47-ball 100 helped India put up a mammoth 234/2.
The southpaw hit seven fours and eight sixes and scored at a strike rate of over 200. In the process, he broke several records, previously held by some of the best names in world cricket.
India in the end won the match by 100 runs as they bowled out Zimbabwe for 134 as they defended their target very professionally. Mukesh Kumar took three wickets, Avesh Khan took three and Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets to put out a brilliant bowling performance.

India's performance in the second T20I washed away all the pain from their first T20I defeat. The series is now level at 1-1 with three matches to go. The remaining three games will be played on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

He was also awarded the Man of the Match for his knock in the second T20I. In his post-match interaction, he spoke about his knock.
"I think it was a pretty good performance by me, the defeat we had yesterday, it wasn't easy for us. I felt today it was my day and I made it count. I feel T20 is about momentum and I took it to the end," said Sharma.
This was India's seventh win in T20Is against Zimbabwe in 10 matches. One of the three losses came in this series.
