Indian batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal continued his red-hot form in the ongoing IND vs ENG Test series. Jaiswal smashed yet another half-century and played an innings of 73 runs from 117 balls with 8 fours and 1 six. Jaiswal was dismissed in the 47th over of the Indian innings and got cleaned by English spinner Shoaib Bashir, who picked up his 4th wicket of the innings.
However, England had a pretty decent chance of getting rid of Yashasvi Jaiswal early. On the final delivery of the 20th over, Ollie Robinson angled across a length delivery that Jaiswal outside edged to wicketkeeper Ben Foakes, who dived forward to take it. The visitors felt they had gotten the much-coveted wicket. But Foakes appeared confused, and Jaiswal did not move away to the pavilion when the decision was sent upstairs.
After watching a few replays, Joel Wilson determined that the ball was not out as it bounced into Foakes??? gloves. It was fantastic news for India because even Rohit appeared to disagree with the England players.
Many supporters argued that the ball did not bounce into Foakes??? mitts, making the verdict controversial. However, many believed that the third umpire made the correct decision.

Former West Indies pacer Ian Bishop also agreed with the umpire???s decision and believed that the third umpire made the right call. He went to his ???X??? account and wrote, ???Absolutely the correct decision by the TV Umpire on that occasion.???

Yashasvi Jaiswal has already slammed 618 runs from seven innings and has scored runs at an average of 103. He has smashed two double hundreds in the series so far and has been one of the real difference makers in the 2nd and the 3rd Test matches.
Yashasvi Jaiswal became India???s top six-hitter throughout a calendar year in Test cricket. Jaiswal passed legendary Indian opener Virender Sehwag and has now smashed 23 sixes. Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant is presently ranked third with 21 sixes in 2022.
Yashasvi Jaiswal has also passed Australian icon Adam Gilchrist and is now positioned third in the record of Test cricket batsmen with the most sixes in a single calendar year. Ben Stokes is in second place with 26 sixes, while Kiwi icon Brendon McCullum leads the list with 33.
While Yashasvi Jaiswal announced his arrival to international cricket during the 2020 U19 World Cup, the latter had a successful Indian Premier League 2023 season for the Rajasthan Royals. Jaiswal scored 625 runs in 14 IPL 2023 games, including 5 half-centuries and a century, with an average of 48.08. His strike rate for the season was 163.61.
He earned the reward for his brilliant performance and on his Test debut against the West Indies, he smashed a ton and played fearlessly against bowlers. He goes on the other team with the opening ball and puts them under pressure. He also gives the Indian squad a left-handed option at the top of the batting order, allowing his partner and Indian captain Rohit Sharma to play freely.
Yashasvi Jaiswal will be willing to continue his brilliant performance with the bat and try to reach and create new records every day.
