India pacer Akash Deep breaks his silence on the ongoing students’ protest in Delhi. Akash says that protesting is a part of the constitutional right, which should be done peacefully, causing no harm to others.
Multiple Indian cricketers have already raised their voices on the nationwide burning topic, which gained traction in international media houses as well. On July 24, through the news agency ANI, Akash Deep expressed his thoughts on the ongoing students' protests over the NEET paper leak.

On the students’ protest topic, the Indian fast bowler mentions that protesting is a part of a constitutional right. He confidently says that whatever the government has committed, it will come in a good way for the students.
“Protesting is a constitutional right. I feel that everything is better when done peacefully. No harm should be caused to the students also. I am 100% confident that the commitment made by the government will be in favour of the students,” Akash Deep says.
"Students and sportspersons are the future": Akash Deep backs students
Akash Deep further states that students and sportspersons are the future of the nation, so it is the duty of both citizens and the government to respect their feelings. The star pace bowler also mentions that students also should shows equal responsibility.
“Students and sportspersons are the future of the country, and it is an equal responsibility of both citizens and the government to respect their sentiments. The students should also display equal responsibility, thinking that this is our country,” he continues.

Shubman Gill also stated on the students' protest
Yesterday, on July 23, India’s ODI and Test captain, Shubman Gill, shared his thoughts on the issue through an Instagram story. The skipper said in support of shaping every student's future through the right path.
To make further progress on the way, he expressed his trust in peace, compassion, and mutual respect. Like Akash Deep, Shubman Gill also stated that education has the power to shape the country’s future.
"Education has the power to shape our nation's future. I hope we move forward with compassion, mutual respect, and keep the best interests of every student at heart. For India's future,” Shubman Gill wrote on his Instagram story.
Former cricketers like the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Shikhar Dhawan and Irfan Pathan also issued statements on the students’ protest. The students’ protest in Delhi is going on because of the NEET paper leak. There are several instances where peace and law were allegedly infringed.
Demands for the removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan because of the paper leak incidents gradually gained momentum as protesters across the nation gathered in Delhi to display their dissatisfaction.
As of now, the central government of India and the protesting students are yet to reach an agreement to solve the matter.
