Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan showed his support for a Twitter user who slammed a Pakistani journalist for mocking Indian pacer Umran Malik’s fast bowling style.

After making his IPL debut, Umran Malik has been the buzz of the town and is now the fastest bowler in Indian cricket. The right-arm quick currently holds the record for the fastest delivery by an Indian bowler, routinely bowling at a speed of 150 kmph.

Umran has played on white-ball teams for almost a year and may earn a berth in the 2023 World Cup roster. Umran’s quick bowling style hasn’t been warmly received by all Pakistanis. Sohail Khan, a Pakistani pacer, recently mocked Umran Malik. A Pakistani journalist has now made fun of the Indian pacer.

“India celebrates a fast-bowler capable of likely to touch 150kph once in a decade whereas Pakistan is blessed to celebrate the discovery of 150kph fastbowlers on yearly basis. The ultimate truth is that fastbowlers like Umran Malik are found in every streets of Pakistan,” the journo wrote.

A user from India by the name of Yatin responded to the Pakistani in a suitable manner and reminded him of what Javed Miandad had stated about Irfan Pathan.“Yeh kabhi nahi sudhrenge.. Miandad said the same thing about @IrfanPathan but the fact is since his debut #Pakistan has not produced a single fast bowling all rounder who has 300+ Intl wickets and 2800+ Intl runs.. That shows you the levels,” the user reacted to the Tweet.

Irfan Pathan became aware of the tweet from the user and gave his support to him. “Apart from one word I like everything abt your tweet,” wrote the former India all-rounder.

Irfan Pathan is one of the greatest all-around fast bowlers to have ever represented India. He participated in 24 T20Is, 120 ODIs, and 29 Tests. Pathan was a member of the 2007 T20 World Cup-winning team that MS Dhoni commanded. He was also a member of the 2013 Champions Trophy-winning team led by Dhoni. He currently works as a cricket analyst.
