Lucknow Super Giants, on Tuesday (December 19), signed up highly-rated Maharashtra allrounder Arshin Kulkarni in the ongoing IPL auction 2024. The youngster had registered himself at a base price of Rs 20 lakhs and managed to attract just one bid.
Arshin Kulkarni possesses the skills that have always been in demand in T20s – big-hitter and a seam bowler. Hailing from Maharashtra, he is India’s latest U19 sensation. Arshin Kulkarni is a top-order batter and is a medium pacer. Earlier this month, he was named to India’s U19 squad for the upcoming ICC U19 World Cup in South Africa.
Arshin Kulkarni has been tipped to play a key role for the team in the tournament. Earlier this year in June, he caught everyone’s attention with his sensational all-round display during a match in the Maharashtra Premier League. Playing for Eagle Nashik Titans, the young cricketer scored a blistering hundred before taking 4 wickets for just 22 runs in addition to defending six runs in the final over.

Later, he made his senior debut for Maharashtra in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT). In 6 T20s so far, he has scored 121 runs at a strike rate of over 163 and has picked up 4 wickets. Arshin Kulkarni was also recommended by his state teammate and India opener Ruturaj Gaikwad for a trial with Chennai Super Kings but had to miss out because it clashed with the India U19s camp.
