Ashes 2023: It Was Only The Dishonest Players We Had Who Didn't Like His Approach - Graeme Swann Takes A Fresh Jibe At Kevin Pietersen

Former English cricketer Graeme Swann has taken a jibe at his old teammate Kevin Pietersen ahead of the Ashes 2023. While touting him as a dishonest player, he said that he didn’t like the coaching style of Andy Flower. 

Kevin Pietersen and Graeme Swann played a great role in making England a dominating force in World cricket. The two shared great camaraderie as well. Under the head coach, Andy Flower, they contributed immensely but after the Ashes 2013-14, things weren’t fruitful between them.

In the recent turn of events, Andy Flower was recently appointed as the consultant coach for Australia. He after being appointed took a jibe at Pietersen, saying that dishonest players” did not like his approach when he was England coach.

Graeme Swann spoke about Andy Flower being appointed by Australia. He said that England shouldn’t have allowed this to happen. He explained: 

“I don’t think England should have let it happen. They should have said ‘We’ll pay you what they are to come back and work with us. You can’t stop a man doing it but England shouldn’t allow Australia to have any little advantage. Good on Andy, though.”

Ashes 2023: Graeme Swann Takes A Fresh Jibe At Kevin Pietersen 

Graeme Swann further took a jibe at Kevin Pietersen, saying that Andy Flower was an absolute joy as a coach and only dishonest players didn’t like him.

He explained: “He was an absolute joy as England coach and I look forward to working with him again for Trent Rockets this summer. He was so blunt and upfront with England and I loved that. Honest players thrive on that sort of coach and it was only the dishonest players we had who didn’t like his approach so much.” 

Graeme Swann recently also took a dig at Kevin Pietersen and abused him. He called him a bit of a k**b, a bit of a d***head. He also said that the batter was being quite nasty behind the scenes.
