Australia would be booming with confidence after winning a thriller against England. The major concern for Aussies though would be of Marnus Labuschagne. Marnus Labuschagne managed to score 13 runs in the match and registered a duck in the 1st innings.
The star batter Steve Smith wasn’t able to dictate the terms and it seemed as if he was in two minds about whether to attack or defend. Smith has a pretty good track record in England, we all witnessed how he scored 774 runs in the 2019 Ashes series.

Steve Smith & Marnus Labuschagne can get a little defensive- Matthew Hayden
Matthew Hayden was seen speaking to SENQ Breakfast and stated that Marnus Labuschagne looks a bit scratchy and said that he will have to work on his getting caught really on the crease.
“Some of the senior players – Davey Warner a big tick, just his attitude, the way that he was in to the ball, good body language. Alex Carey had a fantastic game, Marnus Labuschagne at the moment does look like he’s really caught on the crease so he’s going to have some work to do on that BazBall mentality,” said Matthew Hayden.

“I think ‘Smudgey’ Smith is also a bit the same. He was fantastic through certain periods of the World Test Championship, but those two key players for us can get a little defensive,” he added.
