The mighty Aussies are all set to lock horns against England at the iconic Lord’s on 28th June. All eyes will be on Marnus Labuschagne, the batter looked scratchy and his off-stump weakness was exposed. Marnus Labuschagne needs to play his natural attacking game, he along with Steve Smith would be keen to get back amongst the runs.
Once again the onus will be on Usman Khawaja to play a significant knock for the team as David Warner is quite unpredictable, the left-handed batter was getting into the groove but at Lord’s he will have to negate the threat of the lethal speedster Stuart Broad.

England on the other hand would be considering bringing back the right-arm pacer Mark Wood into the attack as his sheer pace and immaculate line & length can rattle the opposition.

I don’t think we played our B-game – Marnus Labuschagne
Marnus Labuschagne was having an interaction with SEN Cricket and stated that Australia hasn’t played their best cricket till now and heaped praise on Usman Khawaja & Nathan Lyon for their brilliant performance in the opening Test match.
“I mean, I don’t think we played our B-game. I think there’s a few guys that played exceptionally well, Usman (Khawaja) played really well, Nathan Lyon bowled exceptionally,” said Marnus Labuschagne.
“But I think all our fast bowlers – having seen them bowl for four or five years now – it was certainly not the best they’ve bowled, and we still only had to chase 280,” he stated.

“I think there’s a lot to say there about where this team’s at and how much improvement we can see from this team, from one game to another. I think that’s the important part for me, to win a tight game like that,” he added.
England potentially played better than us at certain times – Marnus Labuschagne
Marnus Labuschagne thought that England played better cricket than Australia at certain times. Marnus Labuschagne reflected on his dismissals in the opening Test match and stated that it was a good learning curve and was keen to bounce back strongly.
“I know the English and everyone has said that they sort of felt like they won the game, It certainly didn’t feel like that (for us), but I thought they potentially played better than us at certain times,” said Marnus Labuschagne.

“Potentially, the batters put us under a bit of pressure, but at the end of the day, the results are what matters, and we’ve come up with the chocolates despite having played a below-par game for this Australian cricket team,” he stated.
“I was pretty disappointed with those two dismissals to be honest. I think they were pretty poor in the sense that I haven’t got out like that for a very long time, sort of playing two poor shots very early in my innings.
“Hopefully, that’s a good lesson to learn there and making sure I make the right changes leading into this game,” he added.
