Australia skipper Pat Cummins opened up about the challenge against England’s aggressive style of cricket, known as “Bazball,” in the upcoming Ashes series. Pat Cummins urged Australian bowlers to be relentless with their tight lines and lengths against England batters in the marquee event.
England will host the five-match Ashes series 2023, with the first Test scheduled to begin on June 16 at Edgbaston in Birmingham. The first game will set the momentum for the series, given that only once has a team won an Ashes series after losing the opening game in England since 1998.

Someone Is Going To Miss Out – Pat Cummins
Speaking ahead of the first Test match against England, Pat Cummins said that Josh Hazlewood is available for the section in the series opener.
“It’s going to be tough. Someone is going to miss out. I don’t think there’s any right or wrong way to go so we’ll see,” Cummins said.
“Josh Hazlewood comes back into the fold, he looked like he got through that session fine, he should be on the selection table,” he added.
Pat Cummins will play all five matches in the series, while Scott Boland, Josh Hazlewood, and Mitchell Starc will be rotated throughout the tournament.

Cummins urged his bowlers to remain calm in pressure situations and to stick to their bowling plans in the match.
“The more you get into the minutiae, you end up with a simplified plan, so that’s what we’re going to be hammering home. Our best stuff is still our strongest suit. They’re a very good white-ball team England, but Test cricket’s different,” he further stated.
“The ball moves a little bit differently. You can’t always bat exactly like you would in a one-day game and that’s the strength of our bowling unit. If there’s anything in the wicket we’re going to find it, we’re going to be relentless in our areas,” he concluded.
