Asia Cup 2025: RCB won nothing under him, Pakistan will too - India legend attacks Mike Hesson

Former Indian cricketer Kris Srikkanth has claimed that Pakistan are a below-average side with both bat and ball, before also stating that they have no match for India and took a wild dig at their coach, Mike Hesson.
India will take on Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 group stage game, following the announcement by the ACC that the two teams have been placed in Group A. The match remains highly anticipated; however, a former player has slammed the neighbouring nation.
The match will be played at the Dubai International Stadium as the biggest fixture of the Asia Cup 2025. India have won their last 25 of the 28 T20 internationals, including a huge triumph at the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup, while Pakistan have not been that convincing in the format and has not qualified even for the knockouts of any recent ICC event.
Asia Cup 2025: Even Shaheen Afridi isn't anything - Kris Srikkanth
Kris Srikkanth has said that Pakistan are a below-average team with both bat and ball, and he seems unconvinced by their huge 93-run win against Oman, as he called the opponent an 'uncle's team' in the Asia Cup 2025.
"Pakistan is a below-average side with bat and ball. Even Shaheen Afridi isn't anything deadly. Yes, they beat an Oman side full of players above 34-35. That team is full of uncles. So beating them shows nothing."
"At my age, even I can captain Oman now. Even their bowling looked good against the Oman uncles. But we have to see how it is against Indian youngsters," Srikkanth said on YouTube.
Asia Cup 2025: Fakhar Zaman will be done in by Kuldeep Yadav - Kris Srikkanth
Srikkanth further said that there is no comparison between India and Pakistan as the Men In Blue are the superior side across all aspects.
"Mohammad Haris scored yesterday, but his hitting range is limited to only square leg and mid-wicket. Against Varun Chakravarthy's bowling, he'll hit a six and then sky one to get out."
"Likewise, Fakhar Zaman will be done in by Kuldeep Yadav. The Indian batting lineup, in comparison, is in a different league. Guys like Shubman Gill are at a different level. There is no comparison between the sides when it comes to batting," the former Indian cricket team batter added.
He keeps making bold statements - Kris Srikkanth slams Mike Hesson
Srikkanth also lashed out at the Pakistan head coach Mike Hesson for making bold statements in the media, with the latest one claiming that Mohammad Nawaz is the best spinner in the world. The former India skipper highlighted the poor coaching resume of Hesson and said that he hasn't won anything, and that trend will continue in his new stint with Pakistan.
"He keeps making bold statements. Whatever team he has coached has never done well. He coached RCB, and they won nothing at that time. How are Pakistan going to do well under his coaching?"
"He would have just asked them to throw their bats at the ball with courage. Yesterday, the way Saim Ayub got out, I knew it was Mike Hesson's influence. Mike Hesson must have batted like that only," said Srikkanth.
