Asian Games 2023 is currently underway and the tournament also comprises cricket matches between Asian teams. Many Asian nations have sent their teams to participate in cricket matches during the Asian Games 2023.

A total of 13 cricket teams are part of Asian Games 2023. They are India, Nepal, Mongolia, Cambodia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Maldives, Hong Kong, Thailand, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

Powerful teams like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh have already qualified for the quarter-final matches of the tournament. The quarter-final round begins on October 3.

In the group stage, Nepal defeated Mongolia by 273 runs to set many new records. Japan defeated Cambodia by 3 wickets. Malaysia crushed Singapore by 73 runs while Maldives outplayed Mongolia by 9 wickets. Hong Kong defeated Cambodia by 9 wickets.

Ruturaj Gaikwad is the captain of India in the tournament. For batters, players like Tilak Verma, Rahul Tripathi, Rinku Singh, and Yashasvi Jaiswal are part of the India squad. Among bowlers, players like Ravi Bishnoi, Mukesh Kumar, Avesh Khan, Akash Deep, and Arshdeep Singh have been picked in the squad.

For all-rounders, Washington Sunar, Shahbaz Ahmed, and Shivam Dube have been picked. Jitesh Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh are the two wicketkeepers in the Indian squad.

Since the tournament clashes with the ICC World Cup 2023, a second-string squad has been prepared for the tournament. Like India, teams like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh have also formed second-string squads for the tournament.

Qasim Akram is the captain of the Pakistan team. Sahan Arachchige leads Sri Lanka in the tournament. Gulbadin Naib is the skipper of Afghanistan. Since Nepal is not part of the ICC World Cup 2023, their regular team is part of the tournament.
