England skipper Ben Stokes grabbed an impeccable feat after smacking a half-century in the 1st innings against Australia in Headingley Test. Ben Stokes became the first England player to score more than 6000 runs and clinch 150 wickets in his Test career.

Ben Stokes slammed a marvellous knock of 80 runs in the Ashes 2023 3rd Test to provide fabulous support to his team. England was reduced to 142-7 in 1st innings. Later, the English captain stormed 6 sixes and 5 fours to drive his team to 237-10 in the end. He helped his team to concede a lead of only 26 runs to the Aussies post 1st innings.

Ben Stokes Grabs Impeccable Feat In Headingley Test

With his marvellous half-century, Ben Stokes grabbed a remarkable milestone. He now has 6000 plus runs in Test cricket and 150 wickets, which makes him the 1st England player to do so. The left-handed batter accounts for 6008 runs and 197 scalps in 95 Tests.

The 32-year-old stalwart is the third international cricketer to achieve this feat. West Indies legend Gary Sobers and former South Africa all-rounder Jacques Kallis are the only other two players to achieve the record.

Australia Leads Ashes 2023 Series 2-0

In the ongoing England vs Australia 3rd Test, Australia batted first and was bowled out for 263-10 in 1st innings with a magnificent century by Mitchel Marsh (118). Later, with Ben Stokes’ highest 80 runs, England was crushed at 237.
