Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar heaped praise on England team for their tenacity in Ashes 2023 series. Sachin Tendulkar also called Ashes 2023 a series to remember for a long time.

Ashes 2023 witnessed five thrilling encounters between Australia and England. The series also observed England’s marvelous comeback, who managed to draw the series in the end after losing the opening two games.

England Tenacity In Ashes 2023 Is Tribute To Beauty Of Test Cricket: Sachin Tendulkar

Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to praise the England team for their comeback in Ashes 2023 series. He said that England’s tenacity in Ashes 2023 is a tribute to the beauty of Test cricket.

“From being 2-0 down to drawing level, England’s tenacity in this #Ashes series is a tribute to the beauty of Test cricket. The ability to rebound demonstrates the depth of character and the mental fortitude this format demands”, the former right-handed batsman wrote on Twitter.

The master blaster also added that Ashes 2023 will be a series to remember for a long time.

Ashes 2023 series ended in a 2-2 draw. Australia won the opening two games by 2 wickets and 43 runs. Later, Ben Stokes-led England made a fabulous comeback by winning the 3rd clash by 3 wickets.

The 4th Test ended in a draw. England later won the 5th Test by 49 runs to deny a series victory to Australia. However, Pat Cummins and Co. managed to retain Ashes urn after a 2-2 draw.

Chris Woakes, Mitchell Starc Win Player Of The Series Awards

England’s Chris Woakes and Australia pacer Mitchell Starc were awarded Player of the Series awards. While Woakes hunted 19 wickets across 3 games in Ashes 2023, Starc clinched 23 scalps to finish as the leading wicket-taker in the series.

Meanwhile, England pacer Stuart Broad also pulled the curtains down on his international career after Ashes 2023. The right-arm pacer came up with a marvelous bowling show in the series, hunting 22 scalps across 5 games.
