Australia and England go head to head in the third and final T20I in Canberra on October 14 Friday, England won the first two games by 8 wickets each and thus have already won the series. Australia have a chance to salvage some pride in this third T20I before heading into the T20 World Cup. Both teams also play a three-match ODI series after the T20Is.

England scored 178/8 in their 20 overs and won the match by 8 runs. Their bowlers did a good job to defend the target despite the Australian middle-order scoring some much-needed runs.

Australia are also struggling with the form of skipper Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell heading into this World Cup. Maxwell has not scored a fifty in his last 22 T20I innings. His last six innings have been single-digit scores. Finch also has struggled with a form of late. He batted in the middle order and is now back to opening the batting. He has been struggling for runs since the Sri Lanka series followed by the series against West Indies, India and now England.
