According to some reports, England Test coach Brendon McCullum was denied entry at Headingley Stadium by a security official as he failed to recognize him. Brendon McCullum did not have the correct pass due to which the security official refused to allow him entry to the stadium.

England and Australia are battling against each other in the 3rd Test at Headingley at Leeds. Australia lead the series 2-0 after winning the 1st Test by 2 wickets and the 2nd Test by 43 runs. They need to win one more game to retain the Ashes urn.

Brendon McCullum Denied Entry At Headingley Stadium: Reports

According to a report by The Times, Brendon McCullum was caught in a scuffle while entering the Headingley Stadium for England vs Australia 3rd Test. The security official, who failed to recognize him, denied him entry into the stadium. The official called his senior over the matter. An argument followed after which the England coach entered the stadium being annoyed.

The security at Headingley Stadium in Leeds was beefed up after Just Oil protestors attacked the 2nd Test at Lord’s. Two protestors had entered the stadium and tried to throw orange powder at the pitch to disrupt the match. However, they were stopped by security officials.

Just Oil protestors are staging protests in the United Kingdom against the issuing of new licenses for oil, coal, and gas companies in the country. The group has not only attacked cricket games but other sports in England as well like football, tennis, and rugby matches.

Meanwhile, Australia have gained a lead of 142 runs in the ongoing England vs Australia 3rd Test. Batting 1st in the match, the visitors piled up 263-10 in the 1st innings with a century by Mitchell Marsh.

Later, they bowled out England for 237, with Ben Stokes hitting the most 80 runs. On Day 2, Australia lost 4 wickets after reaching 116 on the board. Moeen Ali picked two crucial wickets of Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne. Australia lead the series 2-0 after winning the first two encounters.
