A Pakistani fan was allegedly stopped from chanting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ in the stands during the game between Australia and Pakistan at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Fans and journalists from Pakistan have had a tough time securing visas from the Indian government to visit India for the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. With the bilateral ties between the two neighbors at an all-time low at present, the Indian government has reportedly not issued too many visas to Pakistani citizens.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also complained to the ICC about the matter and urged the governing body of the game to resolve the issue. However, a few Pakistani fans have managed to secure permission to visit India, and one of them had a very unexpected experience in Bengaluru.
A viral video shows the fan arguing with a police officer who stopped him from chanting his country’s name while seated in the stands. The fan was wearing the jersey of the Pakistan team and was chanting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ before being asked to stop by the police officer.

Pakistan chasing huge total:
Talking about the game, the Men in Green have been set a huge total of 368 runs. Asked to bat first, Australia rode on centuries from their openers David Warner and Mitchell Marsh to post 367 for 9 in the allotted 50 overs. Warner scored 163 runs off just 124 balls with the help of 14 fours and 9 sixes. On the other hand, Marsh scored 121 off 108 balls as he and Warner shared a mammoth 259-run stand for the first wicket.
Australia were looking set to post well in excess of 400 runs. However, a five-wicket haul from Shaheen Afridi helped Pakistan pull things back towards the end. Chasing 368, the Babar Azam-led side has made a good start. At the time of compiling this report, they were on 83 for no loss in the 14th over.
