Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was captured vaping with an electronic cigarette following his dismissal in the ICC World Cup 2023 match against South Africa. The video of Glenn Maxwell smoking a vape in the dressing room quickly went viral on social media.
Glenn Maxwell showcased his impressive bowling skills in the 10th match of the ongoing marquee tournament. He was the most economical bowler for the team, conceding only 34 runs in 10 overs. He picked the wickets of openers Temba Bavuma and Quinton de Kock.
However, the 34-year-old failed to make an impact with the bat, as he was dismissed for just three runs off 17 deliveries during the unsuccessful run chase. The right-handed batter was dismissed by left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj, leaving Australia in trouble at 65/5.

Following his dismissal, Glenn Maxwell was spotted in the dugout smoking an e-cigarette in his team’s dressing room. The incident took place during Australia’s chase, with the team at 80 for 6 in the 20th over. The video capturing the moment circulated on social media.

Australia Failed To Chase Down The Target In Lucknow
The Pat Cummins-led team suffered a 134-run defeat against the Temba Bavuma-led team in their second match at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Thursday, October 12. The Australian team recorded their biggest loss in the history of the 50-over tournament.
The Australian bowlers conceded 311 runs to Proteas after winning the toss. Quinton de Kock smashed his second World Cup century, scoring 109 runs off 106 balls with the help of eight fours and five sixes. Mitchell Starc took two wickets for 53 runs in his nine overs.
The Men in Yellow managed to score just 177 runs in 40.5 overs during the run chase. The team is currently in 9th place in the 10-team points table for the marquee tournament. Australia will lock horns with Sri Lanka in their next match in Lucknow on Monday, October 16.
