The Bangladesh vs Australia 2nd ODI of the three-match series is already underway at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. After winning the 1st ODI by 86 runs (DLS) method and creating history by beating the Aussies at home for the first time, and also winning against them after 21 years. In the second ODI, Bangladesh are all over Josh Inglis’ side.

Josh Inglis won the toss and opted to bat first; however, they did not have the best of starts. For the first time in their ODI history, Australia lost three wickets for no runs. It has been an amazing start for the home side in Dhaka. It's also only the fourth instance of a team slipping to 0/3 in all men's ODIs.

Australia created an unwanted record

The previous three instances in men's ODI history are: Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka at Pietermaritzburg in the 2003 World Cup, where Chaminda Vaas picked a hat-trick; Pakistan vs South Africa at Lahore (1997), Pakistan vs New Zealand at Birmingham (1983 World Cup), both times Pakistan lost three wickets for a duck. Now Australia has done it, as it becomes the fourth time.

They lost openers Mathew Short and Cooper Connolly for a duck, and then Matt Renshaw also went back without scoring as Australia were 0/3 after the first two overs. Now, Captain Inglis is at the crease, and he will be trying to overcome the top-order collapse in the game, and will look to score as many runs as possible.

As Alex Carey lost the wicket for 13 runs, the Aussies was reduced to 25/4 and looks in deep trouble. They have been struggling against spin in the last series against Pakistan and now against Bangladesh's pace. Mustafizur Rahman is so far the pick of the bowlers with three wickets. If Australia loses this match, it will lose the series for the first time in cricket’s history.

Now Cameron Green and Josh Inglis are building a partnership between them and will look to rotate the strike and keep the scoreboard ticking, as after this, Marnus Labuschagne is the only proper batter for the side.

We're looking to improve- Josh Inglis during the toss

During the toss, Josh Inglis said, "We can improve all three facets of the game, small margins, but we're looking to improve. Riley Meredith replaces Liam Scott. Just a bit more pace for us."

Mehdiy Hasan Miraz said, "It was an excellent first match and a great opportunity today (to win the series). We need more partnerships with the bat; the bowlers are doing well, and we need to build momentum. One change: Soumya Sarkar replaces Saif Hassan. It's unfortunate for Saif, but Soumya is batting well in the last few matches and has the experience."
