Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, can claim to have held the top spot among T20I batters for the longest period of time after maintaining it on the most recent MRF Tyres ICC T20 batting rankings.

The No. 1 T20I batter ranking belonged to India’s star Virat Kohli for a total of 1,013 days during his ten-year rule, in the last decade but Babar has now exceeded this total after a protracted reign.

The Pakistani captain recently expressed a desire to compete for the top spot in all three formats. He is currently the No. 1 batter in T20Is and ODIs.
