Bangladesh asserted their dominance over Afghanistan in the one-off Test match. Bangladesh won the match by a huge margin of 546 runs. It was a team effort from Litton Das’ led side as the conditions were tough for batters. Litton Das had a topsy-turvy match with the bat in hand after getting out cheaply in the 1st innings.

Bangladesh showed why they are a team to beat, as earlier in 2019, Afghanistan won a Test match by a massive margin of 224 runs against Bangladeshi Tigers which raised a lot of eyebrows.
We were a young team and we won playing abroad – Litton Das
Litton Das was having an interaction with the reporters and stated that there is no significant change in the side even if they are without Shakib & Tamim and gave the example of New Zealand’s triumph. Litton Das made a huge statement that the side can excel even in the absence of the duo Shakib & Tamim.
“There is no change (playing without Shakib and Tamim). The win against New Zealand was the same. Neither Tamim bhai nor Shakib bhai played in that game. We were a young team and we won playing abroad. When we won outside we have the belief that we can get results if we work hard and now we are desperate when there will be Tests,” said Litton Das.

“Ultimately after two-three years you won’t get three to four seniors and if we cannot handle it now (playing without them) in that case it will be difficult if it (retirement) comes all of a sudden.
“If they had played, it would have been good but it is not a fact that we cannot make a comeback without them. In the pipeline and in the batting order we are improving and the new guys are capable,” he added
I enjoyed the captaincy – Litton Das
Litton Das was quite proud of the team and said that winning the match by 546 runs doesn’t have often in Test cricket. Litton Das was quite hopeful that Shakib Al Hasan returns quickly to the setup
“Today the team that played was the best (Test) team of Bangladesh and everyone fulfilled their responsibility. Certainly, you won’t be able to get such a margin (of victory) and for that, we must credit the batsmen because the wicket was not an easy one,” said Litton Das.
“To be honest our bowlers also bowled really well as they maintained their line and length. This is a big achievement in Test cricket and you cannot ask for more after such a kind of win,” he stated.

“I enjoyed the captaincy. But look, for the time being I have got one game and hope that Shakib bhai returns quickly and I hand it over to him. I will think about the future (as captain) later,” he added.
