The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 14-member squad for the one-off Test match against Ireland, which is scheduled to be played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday, April 4. Shakib Al Hasan and Litton Das have been included in the squad amid speculation that the BCB will allow them to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.
The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bought both Shakib Al Hasan and Litton Das for their respective base prices of INR 1.5 crore and INR 50 lakh in the IPL 2023 mini-auction. The Bangladesh all-rounder represented the Kolkata-based franchise and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the world’s best T20 league. The wicketkeeper batter is yet to make his debut in the marquee event.
