Bangladesh will be taking on Pakistan in the ninth game of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The game is scheduled to be played on Thursday (February 27) at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi.

With two losses in as many group games, Bangladesh have already been knocked out of the tournament. They started their campaign with a 6-wicket loss against India before suffering a 5-wicket defeat at the hands of New Zealand in the second group game.

Bangladesh will now eye a much-needed win to bow out of the competition on a good note. As Bangladesh gears up for the game, we are taking a look at the Bangladesh Playing 11 for the PAK vs BAN contest.

Bangladesh Playing 11 vs Pakistan-ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Match 9:

Openers: Tanzid Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto (c)

Tanzid Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto are set to be the openers in the Bangladesh Playing 11 for the upcoming game. While Soumya Sarkar opened the innings against India, he was dropped from the Bangladesh Playing 11 for the game against New Zealand.

Captain Shanto was promoted in the batting order and he justified the call by scoring 77 runs. The Bangladesh skipper will be keen to lead his side from the front once again. On the other hand, Hasan was out for 24 runs and will be eyeing a big score against Pakistan.

Middle-order batsmen and allrounders: Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Towhid Hridoy, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Mahmudullah, Jaker Ali, Rishad Hossain

For the second game in a row, most of Bangladesh's middle-order batters failed to deliver with the bat. Mehidy Hasan Miraz scored 13 runs off 14 balls before departing and will look to end the tournament on a good note.

Towhid Hridoy, who scored a fighting century against India, disappointed against New Zealand. The right-handed batsman departed after scoring 7 runs off 24 balls and will be desperate to make amends in the upcoming game.

Veteran batsmen Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah also failed to deliver with the bat but they are likely to retain their spots in the Bangladesh Playing 11. Rahim was out for 2 runs while Mahmudullah scored 4.

For the second game in a row, Jaker Ali got runs under his belt. He scored 45 runs before his promising knock was cut short by a run-out. Ali will be eyeing another productive outing with the bat. Rishad Hossain made an impact with both bat and ball. He scored 26 runs and picked up one wicket.

Bowlers: Taskin Ahmed, Nahid Rana, Mustafizur Rahman

Bangladesh are likely to have three specialist fast bowlers in their bowling lineup. Taskin Ahmed, Nahid Rana, and Mustafizur Rahman are set to be the three pacers in the Bangladesh Playing 11. All three pacers picked up one wicket each in the last game and will be eyeing a better display in the upcoming game.

As far as the spin department is concerned, Bangladesh will be depending on the likes of Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Rishad Hossain for spin bowling. In the previous game, Mehidy could not pick any wicket while Rishad claimed one.
