So far, three matches have been completed in the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, and the England National Cricket Team are leading in the series by 2-1.
The visitors have performed incredibly, but have failed to win the crunch moments, which has resulted in them trailing in the five-match Test series.
Meanwhile, the troubles of Team India have increased as 22-year-old all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has suffered a left knee injury. He has been ruled out of the entirety of the series and will fly back home.
"All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the remaining two Tests owing to a left knee injury. Nitish will fly back home and the team wishes him a speedy recovery," BCCI stated in an official media release.
Reportedly, Reddy picked up a left knee injury on Sunday while doing mobility training in the gym, and the scans revealed ligament damage.
Nitish Kumar Reddy was not part of India's playing XI in the first Test at Headingley in Leeds as all-rounder Shardul Thakur was selected.
However, he returned to the side in the second Test match at Edgbaston in Birmingham and scored 1 & 1 while returning with bowling figures of 0/29. In the subsequent Test match at Lord's in London, Reddy registered scores of 30 & 13 and bowling figures of 2/62 & 1/20.
